Stamping in Color
Hi there crafty friends and welcome to the Hero Arts blog! Raise your hand if you are stuck in a black stamping rut. *Insert raised hand* Hi, my name is Janette and I am too. Today, I ventured out of that comfort zone and stamped in color!
To create this project stamp several Teacup Flowers in Fresh Peach, Soft Pink, Cotton Candy, and Soft Yellow on Dove White cardstock. Stamp the leaves in Antigua. Die cut each of the stamped images.
Stamp the teacup in Intense Black and Copic color with BG11, BG45 and BG49. Die cut image. Then, dry fit all elements together. Once satisfied, place Press N Seal plastic type wrap over arrangement to securely hold all elements (can be found at a grocer, Target, WalMart, etc...). Lift and turn over. Set aside to prep white panel.
Score 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Dove White cardstock panel at 1/2" and 5/8" on all four sides of card with a stylus tool and scoreboard. Then, add glue and dimensional adhesive to back of arrangement, popping a few flowers and the teacup. Adhere, centered, to card panel. Stamp sentiment from Spill the Tea in Black Dye ink and adhere panel top folded card base.
Stamping in color provides a fresh and springy feel. I encourage you to give it a go! If you've been inspired to create with this idea, tag us, we'd love to see!

Hi Janette… really pretty card. Love the idea of stamping the flowers in color and scoring the background to frame the image. Thanks for sharing!
I love that I could make this colorful card with little coloring! Thanks for sharing!
Your card is so lovely in its simple design. The idea of color stamping is a good one, as your card demonstrates so well. tfs
You make this seem so simple. I love the colors. I’m going to try and recreate with what I have. Will have to purchase the sentiment though.
Thank you.
