Special Guest Designer - Sean Fetterman!

Mar 09, 2018 Hero Arts

Today we are excited to have a very special guest joining us on the blog - Sean Fetterman! Sean is sharing some fun ideas for using our Color Layering Rabbit stamp set. Take it away, Sean!

Good morning! Sean Fetterman here with you today sharing three cards using the Color Layering Rabbit Bundle that was released a few weeks ago in the 2018 Hero Arts Catalog. This set can be used all year round for cards that tell a story of a certain rabbit from a popular children’s fairytale that was constantly running late, or the rabbit can be used in conjunction with many other Hero Arts stamps and sentiments.

In this card, the rabbit is taking a walk enjoying spring. Does he realize that he’s going to be running late soon? All cards and cardstock in this project are Hero Arts. I used the Dusty Blue, Soft Sky and Soft Yellow inks as a paint for the jacket and shirt. I created the sun with the circle die, then hand trimmed the rays. I dug out my handy Fiskars punches for the clouds and grass.

I finished this card by heat embossing the sentiment with White Detail Embossing Powder, then adding a few pearls. Who can resist bling?

For this next card, I used Ranger Distress Oxide inks. To create the design, I sprayed the Tweed Pattern stencil with water and placed the wet side down on top of the oxidized inked cardstock for approximately two minutes.

This stencil can be used in a portrait or landscape orientation. Embossing the sentiment with the White Embossing Powder really makes the message pop!

For my final card, I created the background by heat embossing the rabbit on watercolor paper using Clear Embossing Powder. I then used the beautiful Liquid Watercolors in Pine, Deep Ocean, Dandelion and Strawberry. I placed the drops on a piece of acetate, sprayed it with water and then applied each color separately. It turned out to be a really fun pattern. I used black ink to stamp the sentiments.

Thank you, Sean! We loved seeing so many different ideas using the same stamp set!

Have a wonderful weekend,
