Smitten With Love

I love to use my stamps to create unique hand stamped patterns. And today’s card features just that!

Hero Arts Love Tattoos woodblock stamps are ideal for stamping some quick patterns for Valentine’s Day cards. I started by adding a pencil lines grid to my paper (I often do this to help me align and better position my stamps), picked a few colors of ink and stamped away!

It’s a good idea to do some practicing on a piece of typing paper first, I test stamped a few patterns before I was happy and then did my final stamping. I used Soft Pink, Bubble Gum, Soft Apricot and Tide Pool inks today, but many other color combinations can work. You can do all pinks, pinks and reds, pinks and gray etc.

After I finished stamping my pattern I trimmed it to 4 x 5 1/4″ and foam mounted onto an A2 top folding gray card base. I added a gold heat embossed heart (I used vellum instead of white cardstock to help some of the background pattern show through) and finally added a white heat embossed Smitten sentiment on top.

Lastly, I decorated my card with some natural twine and clear drops.

Have fun stamping!
