Simple Silhouette Scene

Michelle Short

Hello there, Michelle here and today I have a card to share with you using the Color Layering Christmas Tree stamp set. Although this set is perfect for layering up a Christmas tree, I wanted to create a simple silhouette scene and the first layer of the tree is perfect for this.

Thinking of You at Christmas by Michelle Short for Hero Arts

I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and masking off the bottom portion to have my scene at the top of the card. I took Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and blended this at the top. I then used Shaded Lilac Distress Ink at the bottom.  I thought this created a pretty winter sky. I took the tree image and sentiment from the Color Layering Christmas Tree stamp set and using a Mini MISTI, I stamped these on to the panel with Intense Black Ink

I spritzed the panel with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray, removed the mask and set aside to dry. Once dry, the panel was adhered to an A2 white card base with foam tape.

I know that a lot of people struggle during the holidays, so I thought a card like this would be perfect to let them know that you are thinking of them. Thank you so much for stopping by today, happy stamping!
