September My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #3 + Giveaway

Hello! We are continuing the countdown to the release of the September My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Tuesday, September 3rd at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. We will be here all weekend, sharing inspiration before the launch. Now let's join Michelle for another look at this fabulous kit! She's giving you a look at a die from the kit that we haven't show yet.
As soon as I saw the kit this month, I fell in love with the 'happy halloween' word die and thought it would be fun to have a spider hanging off it. Although I am not a fan of spiders in real life, they do say Halloween to me!
I started off by die cutting the word five times from Dove White Cardstock. I took one of the die cuts and blended inks on to it in fun Halloween colours. I used Creamsicle Reactive Ink at the top, followed by Grape Slush Reactive Ink in the middle and Intens-ified Black at the bottom. I sprayed the die cut with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray and set it aside to dry.
I took a 5.25" x 4" panel of Dove White Cardstock and stamped the spider from the main kit stamp set on top using Intens-ified Black Ink. I then drew a line above for the web using a black multi-liner pen and a ruler. I felt that the panel was a little too plain so I grabbed my scoring board and a bone folder and debossed some lines in to the panel. Although these are not the same shape as spider's webs, I thought they added to the look.
The panel was added to a Dove White Top Folding Card with foam tape. I then stacked up the word die cuts, adhering them one on top of another using Precision Glue, finishing with the inked one on top. They were adhered to the card with more Precision Glue to finish.

I LOVE this card. It’s so simple yet it screams Halloween! The ink blending on the die cut words and the single spider.. it’s just the perfect card for the occassion. Thanks for the inspiration
