Seasons Givings Blog Hop
Hello and Happy New Year! Today we are honored to join a huge annual blog hop, a concept started by Latisha Yoast to say "THANK YOU!" to our wonderful blog readers and share some extra goodies. Be sure to scroll down to the end of this post for the giveaway info, as well as the list of companies and bloggers participating. Every single blog along this hop is sharing a giveaway! You won't want to miss it!
But first, Ilina is here to share a little New Year's cheer with you! Take it away, Ilina!
Hi everyone, Happy New 2019!!! This is Ilina and in the spirit of the new year I am sharing an elegant (black and gold) New Year's day card featuring the Party Confetti Fancy Die along with the Wishes Stamp & Cut set.
To make the card I started with die cutting the Party Confetti Fancy Die from shimmery black card stock and set it aside. Next I die cut the Wishes sentiment from the Stamp & Cut set. I did this twice from gold card stock and adhered the die cuts together.
Next on piece of vellum I stamped "Sending New Year's" with Versamark and embossed with Gold embossing powder. Using the Circle Infinity Dies I die cut a circle. Adhered the "Wishes" die cut to the vellum circle and let it dry.
In the meantime I adhered the black die cut to a gold top folding note card. Adhered the vellum circle, trimmed the side a little and added few Champagne sequins to finish the card off.
For our giveaway, we're offering all of the products Ilina used on today's card! That's a prize package valued at $86 retail! To enter, let us know your goal for the coming year. You have until Friday, January 4 at 11:59pm PST to enter, and we'll announce the winner the following week.
And now for the hop list - it's a long one, but full of fabulous giveaways! Have fun hopping along!

My goal is to make 20 cards a week this year. So far, in this first week, I have made 8 birthday cards, 5 Christmas cards for next year, and 4 other cards, leaving 3 to make tomorrow, when I have the whole day free. I have also made 8 backgrounds to be used later. I know that I have to pace myself so I don’t burn out, so I intersperse my crafting with other activities.
I make cards for all the people in the continuing care retirement community where I live, friends and family members, children of friends, and others—altogether around 500 people. I hope to give each person at least a birthday card and a Christmas card this year. I am a Deacon in my church and I consider it my ministry. I started it because so many people in our nursing unit never received any mail at all.

After breaking my hip two days after Thanksgiving, I realized how important it is to have your cards done early as you don’t know what’s around the corner. In other words, don’t procrastinate in doing anything. You never know when your world can be upside down. I didn’t even get a card made for my husband and best friend, which broke my heart. As far as things to help my crafting, I just can’t seem to get that bar magnet ordered. Sure would like to try one, for sure.

I really like the kits you have because they make me think about how to use things differently. And it’s always so much fun to see what others create.

My goal is workout every day even if it’s just for 5 minutes, and learn more about watercoloring and copic coloring. Two things that I so admire about a lot of people in the crafting community. And sending more “just because” cards to let friends and family know when I’m thinking of them. Happy New Year!!

My goal for the new year is…
To make cards for every major holiday in 2019! I’m very new to card making, but it’s a craft I have fallen head over heels for fast. I’ve watched inspirational videos on YouTube, browsed and connected with a lot of crafting websites, and pulled inspiration from myself and my friends and family for future ideas. Up until this point I have only dabbled with a few impromptu birthday cards, Halloween and Christmas cards and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. This year I want to try new techniques and send out cards to all my family, friends and co-workers for every major holiday of 2019. I have a lot of inspiration to pull from and a lot of creative ideas to work with. I’ve already started collecting some stamps, supplies and cards to get me started so the only thing left is to dive right into things!

My goal is not to be q crafty proCRAFTnator. I am terrible about waiting till the last minute to do a project that needs to get done on a time limit!!! Especially when it is my dt projects or a special birthday , wedding or whatever the case may be. I wait till the last second then I am rushed and feel Like I don’t do my best work. On the contrary, I think it is when I do my best is when I am stressed and don’t have a ot of time to think about it but I would like to be NOT sooo stressed and relax a bit. Understand??? hahahahaha. SO my goal is to stay on top of my craft projects and finish them sooner so I am not sooo stressed. There I said it! hahahahaha

My intention, or goal, for 2019 is to explore more COLORFUL stamping. Usually my cards are traditional colors and safe subtle colors. I have admired many cards with mixed media background and wish to get more INTO these beauties. Alcohol ink, gelly press and using my new to me, Derwent Inktense Pencils. I love the large one word die cuts and those backgrounds are so much fun together. I do really really like Ilinas black and gold, simple, elegant and so FUN! Gail T.

Hi there. What a stunning black and gold card – you’re right, it is very elegant and yet fun as well. Thanks for sharing that with us.
My goals for this year are to improve my skills – to get my scrapbooking / card making gear organised and tidy so I can work more efficiently – and above all, to keep doing what I love and make even more friends in this wonderful community. Forgot – you had an awesome card kit release with beach sentiments, footsteps in the sand, sand embossing powder, fabulous water stamps and Adirondack chairs. I have been lusting after that stamp set ever since it came out, as I was too slow to order, so my other goal is to save up to get that stamp set.
Thanks to all your designers for giving us so much inspiration in 2018 and I’m looking forward to so much more in 2019. HAPPY NEW YEAR HERO ARTS!

My goals for next year are simple: first, finish the eight papercraft projects that need finishing; second, finish the three embroidery projects that are left; and last, work on three new designs. These and others will—in nineteenth-century parlance—keep me out of the oyster cellars and saloons.
