Seasonal Thank You Cards
Jayne Nelson
The easiest way to make a pretty card is to use a beautiful stamp. The From the Vault Poinsettia wood stamp is the loveliest floral stamp in my collection this year so I couldn’t resist making a pair of seasonal thank you cards with this gorgeous flower design.
To make these cards, I started by randomly stamping the From the Vault Poinsettia stamp with Intens-ified Black ink around the edges of trimmed panels of Dove White and Peony cardstock. To simplify the process of creating multiple cards, I didn’t worry about duplicating stamp placement. After allowing the ink to dry for a moment, I colored the flower images with inexpensive colored pencils, adding dark and light areas to each petal.
To add subtle color to the backgrounds, I positioned the Honeycomb stencil over each panel and blended a light layer of Cotton Candy ink across the center of each. Then, I secured each colored panel to a Dove White Top Folded card.
I stamped several thank you sentiments from the handy Thank You Messages set with Embossing & Watermark ink onto strips of Meadow cardstock. I covered each sentiment with white embossing powder and then I used a heat gun to melt the powder.
Next, I cut two vellum tags with one of the smaller Nesting Tag Dies. I secured three sentiments to each tag and using some cording from my stash, I tied a small bow at the top of both tags. I added foam tape behind each sentiment strip and then I secured each tag to a card front. Finally, I embellished each card with a trio of my favorite, dimensional Neutral Enamel Dots.
In this season of generosity and gratitude, homemade thank you cards are a meaningful way to share heartfelt thanks with others.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Happy crafting!

The cards are beautiful and I love the use of the stencil as a background! A delicate addition!
