Saturdays with Sally: Unexpected Rainbows!
I was inspired by a beautiful fall rainbow this week and it sparked an idea for a rainbow pumpkin! Because I am known for utilizing dies and stamps in unorthodox ways, today’s card idea is all that!!
I used Rainbow Infinity Dies to cut Papaya and Pumpkin rainbow arches. Next was Large Snowflake and Swirls with Meadow cardstock to cut the stem and leaf. (However, most any leaf dies will suffice. I just loved this swirly one!) Believe it or not, on my desk was Halloween Icons Dies, so I used the black glitter paper from the Glitter Paper Basics pack and the witch hat die to make the eyes - just cut off the tips. (You can totally hand cut three triangles, too!) The cloud is in the Rainbow Infinity Dies set, cut from white glitter paper.
I found if you tape the rainbow pieces together on the back with tape, they hold together better before you glue them to your white cardstock, or the color of your choice. Add foam tape at the bottom for the cloud to show dimension.
Now for some bonus ideas...
I was having so much fun with the Halloween dies, I decided to show you a few more ideas. The place cards were made from Hero Lifestyle Trick or Treat and the Halloween Icons Dies. Also used were the Nesting Postage Stamps Infinity Dies and Luggage Tag Alphabet with glitter papers. The giant pumpkin is made from Nesting Circle Infinity Dies - his smile is from the alphabet dies using the parentheses and period! The google eyed girl is made from circle and rainbow dies. It can be a small tag or a notecard, if two orange circles are glued together at the top. With my leftover glitter scraps and card stocks, I made a circle garland glued to glitter thread. Oh the ideas and fun never stops on my desk!!!
Until next time, have a rainbow day filled with fun!

How clever to use a rainbow die to make a pumpkin. Great idea. Wish I’d thought of that one. Thank you.
