Santa's Coming to Town!
Hello there, Michelle here and today I have a card to share with you using the new Vintage Toys Fancy Dies. You can use these dies in so many different ways - cut them from colours of cardstock, ink blend, watercolour, colour with markers - the sky's the limit! For today though, I thought I would keep them simple and paper piece them with some glitter paper.
I started off by die cutting the bear and nutcracker from the Vintage Toys Fancy Dies set from Dove White Cardstock. I then cut them again from Pitch Black (for their eyes) and gold from the Glitter Paper Holiday Sparkle set.
I added a little tape to the back of them where the eyes are and then simply popped the eyes in place. For the gold areas, I cut the pieces out with scissors and paper pieced them on top of the white die cuts. Adhering in place with Precision Glue.
For the background, I took a panel of Cranberry Cardstock and stamped Gear Clock Bold Prints on top using Red Royal Mid-Tone Shadow Ink. Once dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Hero Greetings Christmas Gift Shop stamp set on top using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.
I took a panel of Dove White Cardstock and cut a Hexagon Infinity Die in to the top middle. I cut the red background down and then adhered the window piece on top using foam tape. Both were then adhered to a top folding card. The nutcracker and bear were added on top with foam tape.
I really love how that gold glitter paper really catches your eye! Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a wonderful day!

Wonderful design – it’s nice to see a project that features the products without a lot of coloring and embellishment. Considering all the Hero Arts Bold Prints I own, I often forget about simple tone on tone backgrounds. Love the subtle clock with Santa’s coming idea!
