One Layer Scene

Hello there, Michelle here and today I have a card to share with you using the new Tiger Wisdom set that was released as an add-on to the June 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit

I love creating one layer scene cards and I thought this set would work well for the design. I started off by taking a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of white cardstock. I first stamped the reeds, water ring, dragonfly and the baby tiger from the Tiger Wisdom set on to it using Intense Black Ink. I then created a mask for the baby tiger from masking paper and placed this over the image. The large tiger was then stamped and the mask removed.

I coloured the panel using Copic Markers. I first created a ground bank for the tigers to be standing on and then the water that the tiger is drinking from. Using various shades of green I created a canopy of foliage coming from the top of the panel to create a jungle scene. I added grass and sand/soil above the water to create a water bank. I added green shades into the water to reflect some of the colour from the scene. I then coloured the tigers and the dragonfly.

The panel was adhered flat to a Dove White Top Folding Card with tape runner. I then stamped the happy birthday sentiment from the Chameleon Stamp & Cut set on to Pitch Black Cardstock with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied White Detail Embossing Powder and cut in to a strip. This was added to the card with foam tape.

Apart from the sentiment, which you could add flat, this is a one layer card, however, the masking and colouring help it to not look so flat. Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a great day!

Cuteness overload ! Lovely topic to use for a one later design. I find these my most challenging type but I keep practicing the masking x
