Spooky Alcohol Ink Sky: Stay Crafty With Hero
Hi friends! Lydia here with a closeup of the October Word Fancy Die. I love the month word die series, because I feel like it makes birthday cards feel extra special. But because you know I like things spooky in October, I'm using it for a Halloween card today, as part of the Stay Crafty With Hero Challenge #15.
Because of the size of these dies, I feel like they are made for background techniques. I kept it pretty simple, by spritzing plain rubbing alcohol onto my paper, adding a few colors of orange alcohol inks and then blew them around with an air can. Alcohol ink can splatter farther than you want it to sometimes, but cleanup is easy with a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol.
I used the die with black glitter paper for that extra Halloween touch. This is a card that just takes moments to make. If you have the other 9 monthly word dies - sit down and make backgrounds like these with different colors for different seasons and you'll have 12 very quick and easy birthday cards for your stash!
The challenge is still open - so please come play along! You can add your Fall and Halloween entries to the link party here through October 22 for your chance to win a $35 gift certificate.

Love this card with the spooky sky. Interesting thought process and love the October die with it.
