Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #15

Hi friends! We're back with another Stay Crafty With Hero challenge. This time, the theme is Fall & Halloween. Make any sort of card or project you like, as long as it has a Fall or Halloween theme! Have fun creating, and best of all, mail your card to someone special when you're done! We'll include all of the challenge details further down this post, but first, here's a gorgeous card from Ilina!

Hello everyone! Ilina here! For the challenge I decided to create a Fall card, and nothing represents Fall better than pumpkins. For my card I decided to use the Jack o'Lantern Fancy Dies along with the Autumn Bouquet Fancy Dies.

To make the card, start by die cutting the pumpkin without the top and the flower and leaves from Dove White cardstock. Once you have the number of flowers and leaves you like to use, color them. I used alcohol based markers, but you can use any medium of your choice. Once colored add Clear Lacquer Pen onto the sunflower centers and on some of the branches. Set aside to dry.

Cut a piece of Dove White cardstock to 3 3/4" x 5" and assemble the die cut elements. Stamp sentiment from the Happy Autumn Forest stamp set on Pitch Black cardstock and emboss in white. Trim to size. Adhere to the panel. Create a note card from Pitch Black cardstock and adhere the panel to it using foam tape of craft foam.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you create!

Now it's your turn - we'd absolutely love for you to join us! We want to encourage you to actually sit down and enjoy the process of creating. We know it is a source of fun, relaxation and stress relief - something we all can use a bit more of right now. Create a new card for this challenge with the theme Fall & Halloween. Use the Inlinkz tool at the very bottom of this post to link up your card, and you will be entered into our drawing. We will be giving a $35 gift certificate randomly to one person who plays along! To link up your project, you need to share it publicly somewhere you can grab the link - this can be your blog, Instagram, a Flickr account - anything that allows you to have a URL or website location to link up.

We, of course, encourage you to use your favorite Hero Arts products. But any and all entries are eligible for consideration. We really care most about you bringing a little inky joy into your life. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, October 22nd at 5:00pm PT to be eligible for the giveaway, and the winner will be announced when we announce our new challenge on Friday, October 23rd. Scroll down below the product thumbnails to find the linkup! If you share your project on social media, we'd love if you'd use the #staycraftywithhero hashtag.

Your Critter cards from last week's challenge were fabulous! Thanks to everyone who created for the challenge. Our random winner is Charlotte E (Lady Joyful)! She created this gorgeous card featuring our now-retired Color Layering Red Panda stamp set. She was also creating for a Crafting for Red Pandas hop in honor of International Red Panda Day - how cool is that?

Congratulations Charlotte! Email us at info@heroarts.com with "Stay Crafty Challenge Winner" in the subject to claim your prize.

Here's to connection, creativity, inspiration, and kindness. ❤

Love your ideas so inspirational! Since we will not be having Halloween in my neighborhood due to pandemic I should make a few cards for children and mail them a dollar or two.

  • Barbara-Jean

Ilina, your card is beautiful! Since I have the Sept kit, I should try to create something to enter! We’ll see!
