November My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #5 + Giveaway!
Welcome back to the countdown! The November My Monthly Hero Kit will be released Monday, November 5th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Nichol is here with another look at this fun kit!
Today I'm sharing an Advent Calendar card featuring stamps and dies from the November main kit. The cute little images fit perfectly inside the ornament window openings.
I started by stamping the ornament cling background from the main kit on red cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed the images with white embossing powder. I think it's easier to use a larger piece of cardstock to stamp the images, then use the coordinating ornament die from kit to line up the window openings and die cut the entire panel.
Using the ornament die as a guide, I placed the small images from the kit in a MISTI and stamped the images on smooth white cardstock to layer behind the ornament window openings. The images were stamped with a combination of Hero Arts Intense Black Ink, Strawberry Ink, Emerald Green Ink, Butter Bar Ink, and Cup O' Joe Ink.
Details were added to some of the images with Nuvo Crystal Drops.
The window panel was adhered over the small stamped images on the front of the card with foam adhesive.
The design was finished by stamping a greeting from the Winter Holiday Messages Stamp Set inside the card.
I hope this has inspired you to try your own mini card Advent designs with the awesome November Kit!

Can’t wait to bring back the advent tradition at my house!
Nichol, your design with this advent calendar is top notch wonderful! Love the detail bright coloring you did on the inside of the ornaments. I made an advent calender last year that was a BIG poster size, with a die window that opened and it took me forever to cut and place the windows. Love that this one is smaller and adorable. Had to get it! Even adults like to get these. LOL (some, that is!)
Oh how All 10 of my Grandchildren absolutely adore this Advent Calendar, Grammy here isn’t able to do much with the gkids because of serious health issues., so instead I have been including and teaching them how to create cards and other crafts. They all love it. Even the boys. This would be the perfect kit for the holidays with the kids! Thank You for sharing your beautiful work!
I love how all of the bright colors are only seen once you open the flaps.
That’s a lovely creation! :)
