November My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 + Giveaway!

Jessica Frost-Ballas

Hello and welcome as we continue the countdown to the release of the November My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Monday, November 5th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Stay tuned for more inspiration all weekend long! Jess is here for another look at this wonderful kit.

Hello! I decided to go a different route with this month's kit and today I'm sharing an elegant holiday card you can create!

To start I stamped the gorgeous ornament rubber cling stamp onto a piece of black cardstock and heat-embossed it with gold glitter embossing powder. A few ornaments can be popped out of the rubber cling (that might not make sense now but it will when you see the big reveal Monday! ;) ) and I stamped those onto vellum and heat-embossed them with the same gold glitter embossing powder.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the kit (and one sentiment from an add-on) onto white cardstock with Versamark and heat-embossed them with gold embossing powder. I trimmed them down to a thin label and then cut out my vellum ornaments. I layered them with a curl of gold thread and adhered them to the card with foam mounting tape. Finally I trimmed the black panel down and adhered it to a white card base.  I love the mix of gold, black, and white for the holidays! It's a little unexpected, I think, but elegant, trendy, and sparkly! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, November 5th, before the kit launches at 1 pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Good luck!
