Our November My Monthly Hero release is here!

As the gift giving season approaches, our fun new November release will help you count down to Christmas! From hand stamped cards, tags and gift wrap, to DIY projects like advent calendars and ornaments, we've got you covered with products to incorporate personal touches into your holiday stamping. This fun, interactive My Monthly Hero kit includes a 4"x6" clear stamp as well as a 4.25"x5.5" cling background stamp with a coordinating flap Fancy Die! Among its many possibilities, the cling stamp can be used to create an advent calendar, with the matching die creating little flaps. The clear stamp set includes numbers to stamp your countdown, plus small messages and icons to include under the flaps. The cling stamp also has a few stamps that can be popped out to use on their own! We've rounded out the kit with two gorgeous embossing powders to give your projects a little extra pop - green-gold and gold.

And now let's check out some inspiration from Creative Team member Ilina Crouse, using this month's kit:

For my first project I made a little advent calendar using the die and both the background stamp and the clear stamp set from the kit. I started by die cutting a piece of gold shimmer paper using the die, then stamped the numbers and embossed with the gold embossing powder included in the kit. Next using the MISTI tool I stamped the background stamp on top and embossed with ultra fine embossing powder

Once the top panel was done I added little bows from gold thread on each ornament.

To create the bottom panel, I used little smaller piece of Snow Layering Paper and secured the die on top and used it as a guide to stamp images in Versamark and embossed them with gold embossing powder. Using foam mounting tape I adhered the panels together, then adhered onto a slightly larger panel 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" of Snow Layering Paper and added a string as a hanger.

Next up is a card and a tag. To make the card I started by stamping the ornament background stamp onto gold shimmer paper and embossed with gold embossing powder. Next I stamped the tree using the green-gold embossing powder and the sentiment using just gold embossing powder. I added a layer of vellum under the sentiment and assembled the card.

To make the tag I stamped the background stamp onto gold Shimmer paper, but before stamping I removed the three removable ornaments. Embossed in gold. (tip: the MISTI tool is helpful for this). Put back the removable stamps, and removed the background stamp (after the removable stamps were positioned). Stamped in Versamark and embossed with the green-gold embossing powder. I die cut a tag using the Tag Infinity Dies.

Stamped sentiment onto Snow Layering Paper and embossed with green-gold embossing powder. Trimmed it and layered onto piece of vellum. Assembled the tag.
