Libby is here today with an adorable pop-up box card featuring our new Holiday Cheer stamp set. Take it away, Libby!
Hi everyone! I’ve been taking the latest edition of Online Card Classes, and I was inspired by Kristina Werner to give this fun, interactive style of card a try! I thought the Holiday Cheer stamp set would make an adorable little winter scene.
I began by stamping and coloring several images from this cute stamp set, and then cutting them out with the matching dies. I coated everything with the Star Dust Stickles that came in my August My Monthly Hero kit, because I’m a firm believer in the principle that everything is better with glitter! I also used the new Snowy Drifts Fancy Dies, and coated the die cut pieces with some super fun “snow” with a Pentart Snow Pen I picked up at my local store. And the “hi” that looks like it’s just floating there? It is actually attached with a strip of acetate – a fun little tip I learned from Kristina!
The fun background on the box is the Candy Stripe Bold Prints, stamped in Strawberry Bold Ink. The entire box flattens down, so you can put it in an envelope and send it if you wish to. So fun!!
I have found that you can buy pre-cut and scored kits to make cards like this. But if you’d like to watch a great tutorial, consider joining this Wild Card class – you’ll learn to make this style, as well as many other fantastic interactive cards! The class began last week, but the great thing about these classes is that you always keep your access to class, and can watch whenever you’d like. And guess what! I have a free spot in the class to giveaway to one lucky commenter! Please leave your comment below by Sunday, October 16 at 11:59pm PT, and we’ll announce the winner next week.
Now head off and make a card to join our challenge. We cannot wait to see what you make!
