Merry Christmas

I can’t believe that we’re over half way through October. The days are just flying by. It’s a great time to start making those holiday cards. You can make a couple a week and finish off with a pretty good stash of them. Make them a clean and simple design and you can easily create a handful in one sitting.

Green is one of my favorite colors…team it up with grey and I’m a happy crafter. Today’s card features Antlers Stamp & Cut. I knew I wanted to use the deer silhouette image so I decided to team it up with the Thank You Tag Stamp & Cut by Lia. Having the smaller ‘canvas’ to stamp on, makes the images the star of the show, don’t you agree?

I love to keep the pieces intact on the tag.  The quick watercoloring brings out the green of the cardbase. The Midnight and Foliage Mix Layering Papers make for a great color duo. I dry embossed the Midnight layer with an embossing folder from my stash. I topped off the tag with a bit of twine from my collection.

I added a bit of watercolored grey underneath the deer to help ground the image. The card features a ton of texture with a pretty good postal friendly design.
