May My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 + Giveaway

Ilina Crouse

Welcome back to the countdown! Our May kit launches on Monday, May 6 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you! Now let's join Ilina for another look at this kit filled with craftiness.

Hi everyone! Ilina here. I hope you are enjoying all the peeks from the May My Monthly Hero. This is another kit that goes on my most favorites list. It's amazing for crafters and crafty friends.

For my card today I decided to use the thread spool image and the little buttons. To make the card I started with a Dove White cardstock piece measuring 4" x 5 1/4". Using Intense Black ink I stamped the images in a circle using the Gina K Wreath Builder stencil, then colored with alcohol markers in a rainbow order. I set the panel aside.

I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink onto Pitch Black cardstock and embossed with White Embossing Powder. Trimmed to size and adhered to the white stamped panel using foam adhesive.

I finished the card by adhering the panel onto a black top folding note card (4 1/4" x 11" piece of Pitch Black card stock scored at 5 1/2") using foam adhesive.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, May 6, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

I love the rainbow colors. The shading on the buttons is beautiful.

I love it all, all the crafting and the celebration of crafting. It is so important to be able to create and enjoy what you do….I am a paper crafter, seamstress and a quilter so this set looks like it was made for me!

Love this card…so would a couple of my friends that sew.
