Winter birthdays are a great chance to get some extra use out of your Holiday stamps and dies! Today I'm using the Snowflake Confetti Fancy Die to create a sparkly background for my daughter's birthday card.
To create the background, I adhered some double-sided adhesive to a panel of Snow Layering Paper. Then I die cut the piece using the Snowflake Confetti Fancy Die. Because of the extra thickness from the adhesive tape, I had to run it through my machine a couple times to get a clean cut on all the tiny pieces.
Next, I peeled off the adhesive backing and sprinkled on some Prisma glitter over the entire panel. I used a bone folder to press the glitter into the paper to help avoid it coming off onto your hands when holding the card. Then I adhered this panel onto a top folding card base made from Shallows Layering Paper.
I used my current favorite birthday stamp set, Birthday Messages, to white heat emboss the message onto some Pool Layering Paper. And then stamped some snowflakes using the Small Snowflake stamp and Tide Pool Shadow Ink.
And for the finishing touch I adhered some small blue sequins from the Frost Sequin Mix to the centers of the snowflakes.
Have a great day!
