Lunchbox Love Notes

Rosie Lopez

Hello Crafty Friends!

Rosie here to share a super fun project you can use any time of year. I created some colorful lunchbox love notes to put in your children’s (or significant other’s) lunch boxes.

These cuties were made using the Love Notes Message Bundle. I first die cut all the notes from Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock and then ink blended the edges with Reactive Inks in Fruit PunchCreamsicleLemon DropKey Lime FizzSplashBlue Hawaii and Grape Slush. Then I created a jig for the note to sit in so I could use my Misti for assembly line stamping.

I first stamped the outline stamp. I used the same reactive inks I used for the blending to get a tone on tone look. I cleaned the stamp well between color changes to not get any ink transfer. I always start with the Lemon Drop and then work my way through Creamsicle, Fruit Punch. Then I clean the stamp again and start with Key Lime Fizz, Splash, Blue Hawaii and then Grape Slush. In that order you should get much ink transfer but if you do it won’t be noticeable. To make sure it's nice and clean I like to use Ultra Clean and my Hero Arts Scrubber Block.

I did do some stamp surgery and trimmed the ‘lunch date’ sentiment but you could easily mask it off if you don’t want to cut your stamp. Then I stamped the ‘love note’ sentiment and the little conversation heart in the same pass.

You can easily batch make these notes and keep them in a kitchen drawer to put in lunchboxes. You could put one in their lunchbox every day leading up to Valentine’s Day, on special occasions or even for older kids on a big test day. You could put one in a significant other’s lunch box if you know they are going through something difficult or just tell them you love them. It’s a great way to brighten anyone's day!

One note: I used Reactive Inks which will react to water and condensation. To avoid that you could use a dye ink.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
