In addition to a set of travel themed stamps and a set of fun dies, I was excited to discover that this month's kit also includes a kraft-covered, lined notebook. It's a perfect little journal for recording travel memories, collecting crafty inspiration, or even managing to-do lists. Best of all, you can use the stamps and dies in the kit to create a fun and personalized journal cover.
To create this journal cover, I started by using the kit's airplane die to cut several plane shapes from craft foam and then I mounted them to a clear acrylic block to create a stamp. Using [hero_product_link sku="AF233" text="Pale Tomato"] ink, I repeatedly stamped the airplanes across [hero_product_link sku="PS610" text="white layering"] paper. I adhered the stamped panel to the notebook cover and then applied a strip of double-sided tape along the left edge of the panel and covered the tape with gold glitter.
I used the tag die to cut a tag from [hero_product_link sku="PS621" text="yellow"] layering paper and then I used the window die to cut a white panel. I love the versatility of these two separate dies. Using a selection of sentiment and image stamps from the kit, I stamped a label for the tag and three [hero_product_link sku="PW110" text="white"] embossed sentiments on cardstock strips. For extra interest, I added a die-cut airplane, a few gems and a twine bow. I'll be happily stashing this notebook and a few bright pens in my bag this summer - just to record those moments and ideas that I want to remember.
