June My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 + Giveaway!

Clare Prezzia

We are back for another countdown post, leading up to the release of the June My Monthly Hero kit!. Release day is Monday, June 4th at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. We'll be sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as new optional add-on products that will be available on Monday. And don't forget to leave a comment on this and every post as we will be giving away a kit on Monday. Now let's join Clare, who's sharing a CAS card using the kit...

One of things I love about this kit is how it works so well for making clean and simple cards, or more elaborate scenes. For today's card, I kept things pretty simple, keeping the focus on the stamps and the beautiful embossing powder that's part of the kit.

To start out with, I stamped the three layers of water on the top of cardstock panel, using the colors included in the kit - Deep Ocean, Summer Sky and Soft Sky. I then used a Versamark pen to add some stickiness right below the waves, and then covered it with the amazing embossing powder included in the kit. I love how realistic the sand looks, and how it even has a bit of metallic shine!

I inked the sentiment up first with Versamark, and then Soft Brown, and heat embossed it with some mores sand EP. I then die cut the panel with the Rectangle Infinity Dies, and, for another pop of color on the card, I stamped two chairs in Crimson ink, die cut them and adhered them to the panel. The panel was popped onto a card base with some dimensional adhesive and then tied off with some red twine.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all the countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, June 4th, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win! Good luck!
