January 2019 My Monthly Hero is Here + GIVEAWAY!

Jan 07, 2019 Hero Arts

It's My Monthly Hero release day!

This month's kit transports you to the delightful window of a flower shop, complete with hanging baskets and various containers full of beautiful blooms. A bicycle complements the scene perfectly. A unique die is included for creating an easel-style sign. This kit is perfect for romantic Valentine's cards, friendly "Galentine's" messages to share with your besties, or can be used to send wishes for a lovely day throughout the year! The kit is rounded out with a tube of pink lacquer, as well as cardstock, vellum envelopes and adorable envelope seal stickers, perfect for putting together and sending your special cards.

This month's kit includes:

  • 6" x 8" Clear Stamp Set
  • 21 Coordinating Frame Cuts
  • 1 Easel Die with Inner Board Cut
  • 10 Vellum Envelopes (Size A2)
  • 20 1.5" Circle Envelope Seals (2 designs)
  • 10 5.5" x 8.5" Sheets of Cardstock (5 Red, 5 Pink)
  • 1 Pink Glimmer Lacquer

The kit is valued at $79, but is an incredible deal at $34.99. It is available in limited quantities - grab yours before they are gone!

We also have several fabulous optional add-on products this month - let's take a look!

First of all, how deliciously fun is this Color Layering Waffles and coordinating Color Layering Waffles Frame Cuts? The thought of sending waffle brunch-themed cards to my gal pals is just too much fun!

Let's keep the Galentine's brunch theme going with Gal Pal Brunch and Gal Pal Brunch Frame Cuts. Mimosas, anyone?

To capture the more traditional Valentine's look, we've created All My Love Decorative Hearts. These are great for romantic cards! (But we're sure your Galentine's friends would love these, too!).

The versatile You Are Loved Flourish Messages set will be one you turn to again and again - from Valentine's messages to just saying hello, the fun font on this one makes it an instant classic.

Inspired by the bicycle theme of the main kit, we've created the Bicycle with Basket Fancy Die. This is a larger-sized bicycle (measuring approximately 4" x 2.5"), and will be fun for a variety of cards and projects!

Two new 6x6 background cling stamps round out the collection. First is Bursting with Love Bold Prints - the name says it all, the fun arrangement of hearts makes this one simply bursting with love!

And finally, the beautiful Hearts & Flowers Bold Prints. This detailed design will be a great backdrop to your cards throughout the year.

Love all of these fabulous new add-ons? You can Get Them All in a bundle for roughly a 10% savings!

Throughout this past weekend, our talented Creative Team shared inspiration and ideas for using the kit, including examples with the window and easel. Be sure the check out our Countdown posts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 if you haven't already! Now let's take a look at a project created by Ilina with this month's kit. Take it away, Ilina!

I hope you enjoyed all the sneak peeks during the weekend using this kit. I must say, it's one of my most favorite My Monthly Hero kits so far and I have another idea using this kit. For my card today, I used the bike image and the coordinating die. I love how the die cuts out the bike's wheels.

To make my card I started by stamping the images from the kit on white alcohol marker friendly card stock with Intense Black ink. Next using Copic markers I colored them, then die cut.

I cut a white card stock panel measuring 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and adhered the images to it, then stamped "Be Mine" sentiment from the kit using again Intense Black ink. I adhered it to a red note card and added some thin glitter washi tape from my stash on the sides to finish it off.

For more ideas, we've asked our talented Creative Team as well as some crafty friends to help us introduce this kit. Please be sure to visit all of their blogs – and leave a comment at every stop along the way. One reader will be randomly selected to receive a free January kit (or reimbursement if you have already purchased your kit!). Leave your comments on all of these blogs by Sunday, January 13th at 11:59pm Pacific, then look for the winner announcement here on the blog the following week.
