Six Birthday Candles!

I just can’t believe how many birthday cards I am always making! And how did my granddaughter get to be six already?? Let’s join the current Stay Crafty with Hero Birthday Challenge and make a super easy card with some Hero Arts dies.

To make this card stamp the Confetti Bold Prints background stamp in Rose Madder ink on Peony cardstock. Use Slimline & Bookmarks Infinity Dies to cut a “cake” strip. Cut a white strip for “icing” using the Nesting Postage Stamps Infinity Dies. Glue together. Die cut Happy Thanks Stamp & Cut XL from Paradise cardstock. Mount onto cake with foam tape.

Cut “happy” three times from Mustard cardstock to get the flame for the candles and put aside. (Pop out the centers from the letter p’s.) Find 6 scraps of bright colors and use the smallest die cut from the Slimline Infinity Dies for candles. Foam tape all to the card. Die cut and add the number six, (or whatever number you need) from Classic Numbers Fancy Dies. Mount to card.

See how fast this card came together? Make a stash and some extra numbers and candles for future birthdays! While you're at it, enter the challenge by May 6 and you'll be in the drawing to win a $50 Hero Arts gift card!

Happy 6th Birthday Dear Cora!!

Like the number used for candle flame idea and dimension of stacked/layered pieces.
