Video: Ghost Stamping With Bold Prints
Hi friends! Today I have an oldie but a goodie for you – "ghost" stamping. I learned this almost ten years ago – eek – and I realized I haven't used it in a while. It uses the magic of Unicorn Pigment Ink with dye inks. The white images create "ghost" images that show up even when dye ink is blended or stamped on top of them. The two Bold Prints released this month are ideal for this technique because the Mini Hearts Bold Prints has a small pattern that is the perfect accent for the larger and bolder Heart Shaped Daisies Bold Prints. They both shine with this technique.
Here is the quick and easy video of this technique - I hope you enjoy it!
(If you are having trouble viewing this video, please watch it HERE on YouTube.)
Here is a photo of the cards after doing the technique the two different ways you'll see in the video. I added Hero Pearls in white and gold.
Here's the first card, finished with a sentiment from You're Mine with the matching dies, and a secret OOPSIE you will see in the video that worked out just fine.
Here's the second card, with a variation on the technique – can you spot the difference?
The inks I used are Ultra Pink and Azalea. I chose Azalea because of a challenge last week to use the Pantone Color of the Year, and Azalea is a dead ringer!
Take a look at your Bold Prints stamps in a different way with this technique – it's a fun way to combine different patterns that you may not normally combine!
Thanks for stopping by today. Happy crafting!
