While you have holiday products already strewn over your desk, why not stretch your creativity and use those same products for some non-holiday cards. Today I'm taking two holiday products and using them on a birthday card with no signs of Christmas in sight.

When you look through your products, don't let the name of the product deter you. On my card today I'm using the Poinsettia Stencil which I can also see as a graphic flower pattern for everyday use. After creating a brightly colored ink blended background with Reactive Inks, I used the stencil with white embossing paste to create the textured pattern.

Dies can also be a versatile product with a little creativity. For the sentiment I used the Holidays Message Fancy Die and just trimmed off the word "holidays". The tails on the letter p's were cut off a little due to the design on the die, so I strategically placed a coordinating message to hide the bottom part of those letters.

I adhered the stenciled panel to a Dove White Top Folding Card and then attached the messages using Precision Glue and foam tape. I also added a glossy layer of shine over the word "happy" using the Crystal Clear Lacquer Pen.

How do you stretch the use of your products past their intended season? If you have any tips or tricks to share please let us know in the comments.

Have a great day!
