February My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 +Giveaway

Jessica Frost-Ballas

We are one sleep away from the release of the February My Monthly Hero Kit! The kit will be available Monday, February 4th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Now let’s join Jess, who is sharing the final look at this fabulous kit!

Hello! Jess here and I've created trendy black and gold birthday card using the gorgeous Fancy Die included in the kit as well as a sentiment from one of the add-ons for this month's kit!

To start I die-cut the Fancy Die from black cardstock. I poked out all the pieces except the large center piece. On that large center piece I stamped the birthday sentiment from the add-on set with Versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder.

Then I adhered the die-cut frame to a piece of gold cardstock using our new Precision Glue! It's perfect when you need adhesive in tiny spaces! (It'll be available February 15th.) I placed a few acrylic blocks on top of the panel just to hold the die in place while it dried. Once it was totally dry I popped the sentiment panel into place with the same liquid adhesive and finished the card with a little black and gold confetti included in the kit. And that's it, quick and easy and you can change out the sentiment for a variety of occasions! ;)

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, February 4th, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Good luck!

Beautiful card and right up my alley! Quick and easy but elegant. I think I will need to get the add on with the sentiments. That typeface for the birthday greeting is lovely and one can never have too many birthday greetings.

This is a gorgeous die and showcasing it with the golden yellow background really sets it off!!! This is a beautiful card — perhaps for my mother who was born in 1922!! Thanks for sharing!!

I am really liking the sentiments as well as the fonts of the sentiments. Very vibrant yellow as a contrast with black. Nice!
