It's time for our next countdown peek! The February My Monthly Hero kit will be available on Monday, February 3 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Just a reminder, the kit is limited edition and once it's gone, there are no more. If you're not a subscriber and wish to purchase the kit, your best bet is to grab it on Monday. Now let’s join Ilina, who is sharing another beautiful card created with this month's kit!

Hi everyone, Ilina here and I am sharing some inspiration using the February My Monthly Hero kit! I love this month's kit, as it focuses on birthdays and it can be used also way beyond birthdays.

For my card today I used the smaller fill-in rectangle stamp included in the kit. To make the card stamp the image twice on Dove White cardstock. Color the elements and die cut the balloons and flowers using the coordinating dies from one of the stamped panels. To cut out the mirrored image balloon, since there are no coordinating dies, I flipped over my stamped image and used my window to line up the die on the back side. I ran it this way through my die cutting machine and was able to cut out the mirror image.

Stamp, color and die cut the cake image. Set aside. Die cut the full panel using Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies and adhere the die cut elements with foam adhesive. Stamp sentiment on vellum and emboss in white. Cut to size and wrap around the panel.

Die cut a larger rounded rectangle from Peony cardstock. Stamp "Happy Birthday" sentiment over it repeatedly using Clear Embossing and Watermark ink. Assemble the card and adhere to Dove White side folded notecard.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, February 3, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

The backwards die cutting is something I’ll have to try. Thanks for that tip. This is so pretty and would be a beautiful invitation! So anxious to see the rest!

Great card. You can never have too many Birthday dies and stamps. Can’t wait to play with this kit.

Delightful use of this super background stamp. Thank you for the technique idea.

Beautiful card. I seldom do mirror stamping because of the additional work, but it’s wonderful on your card.

I’ve never tried vellum yet and using it on this card gives it that extra “BAM” as Emeril would say LOL !! I love this one big-time !
