Hello and welcome back to the countdown to the release of the February My Monthly Hero kit! Mark you calendars -- release day is coming up on Monday, February 3 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Now let's join Caly for another lovely sneak peek!

Hi, Friends! Welcome to today's countdown to the next My Monthly Hero kit! This month's theme is birthdays and we've got festive images to celebrate anyone's big day.

There is a background stamp to fill a page, but I decided to only color a few and use coordinating die cuts to create my scene today. I stamped the background stamp included in the kit and colored the images I wanted to use with Copic markers (BG11, BG13, BV00, BV02, BV04, BV08, RV10, RV11, RV13, RV14, Y18, YR16, YG07, YG09, E35).

To create my background, I masked off a section in the lower 1/3 of a blank card panel to ink-blend with Pool Party and Blue Raspberry Reactive Inks.  Then I splattered the section with water for interest and texture. Once the panel was dry, I removed the mask and began adhering my images.

After adhering my images, I added some white gel highlights and then stamped th sentiment in black. To finish, I trimmed my panel to mat my top-folding cardbase.

I hope you enjoyed today's project and are excited for the release of this kit on Monday! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
