Creating An Alcohol Ink Tag Focal Point
Hello there, Michelle here and today I am using the new Otter Family Stamp & Cut. What an adorable set! I thought it would be fun to create an alcohol ink background for my little guy to swim in.
I started off with a piece of Yupo paper and applied Copic Refill ink on to the piece in three blue shades. I then applied some air using an air spritzer tool to move the ink around. Once dry, I cut the piece using the second largest of the Tag Infinity Dies. I also cut the topper piece from white cardstock. While my die cutting machine was out, I took the Spiral Stencil and embossed this on to a white card base.
I took the larger of the otters from the Otter Family Stamp & Cut and stamped this on to white cardstock using Intense Black Ink. The image was coloured using Copic Markers and then I fussy cut the image out. The set does comes with the die but it's on it's way to me, so I opted to fussy cut. The tag was added to the card with foam tape and then the otter on top with more foam. I took the sentiment from the set, stamped this using Versamark Ink on to black cardstock and applied white embossing powder. I then heat set, cut in to a strip and added this on to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Ombre Ocean Sequins.
Thank you so much for popping by today, happy stamping!
You had great products thru 2017, can’t wait to see what awaits for 2018. Have a Happy New Year!
That’s a great idea !
Oh Michelle, I love everything about this card! This otter is adorable, but you made him irresistible with your gorgeous card! The background is genius, and I love how you mixed the color of the alcohol inks and the embossing. Hero Arts is lucky to have you represent them, you make me want (and buy) so many of their products because you show me such wonderful ways to use them.
Such a cute creation :)
Adorable card, great idea to do it with Copic Refills. Thanks.
