Create a Multi-Colored Letterpress Image

Jennifer Kotas

Hello! Jen Kotas here today to show you how easy it is to make a multi-colored letterpress image using the Fa La La Letterpress and Foil Plate.

Please note: My registration template is on white paper. The template that comes with the product is on clear acetate.

Secure the registration template for the Fa La La Letterpress and Foil Plate to the BetterPress magnetic platform using a low tack tape such as Spellbinders Best Ever Craft Tape. Repeat for the A2 BetterPress Cotton Card Panel in Porcelain on the clear plate.

Place the first letterpress plate in the matching outlined area. If doing multiple plates in the same color, you could do them at the same time.

The Magnetic Panels in a Craft Stax are a great way to keep your press plates organized!

Ink up the first plate with Turquoise BetterPress Ink. You can use the Tool ‘n One to nudge the plate in place if it moves while inking.

Place clear plate over magnetic platform and run through Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine.

Remove the first plate and place the next one. Ink with Taffy BetterPress Ink and repeat above steps. Repeat for the remaining plates. I used Key Lime Fizz Reactive Ink then Cruise BetterPress Ink. I then repeats the Turquoise and Taffy BetterPress Inks.

Stamp the entire panel with the Fa La La Bold Prints using Contour Ink. Next stamp the sentiment from Modern Holiday Greetings using the Turquoise BetterPress Ink.

Die cut a Scalloped Rectangle Infinity Die together with a slightly smaller Nesting Rectangle Infinity Die from Seaside ColorWheel Cardstock to make a frame. Adhere panel to an A2 card and add frame with thin foam squares.
