Create a Charming Teacup Card with Pink Hydrangeas

Michelle Lupton

There’s something so elegant about a soft, monochromatic card — especially when it’s dressed in shades of pink! Today, I’m sharing a charming teacup card featuring delicate pink hydrangeas and layered details that add beautiful dimension. The tea cup from the Coffee or Tea Stamp & Cut is the perfect place for the blooms to overflow.

To create the background:

  • Mask off the top third of a top folding white card base.
  • Use the Delft Layering Stencils with Peony and Azalea Inks to create the floral pattern on the bottom two-thirds of the card base.

Next up is the tea cup:

  • Stamp the cup from the Coffee or Tea Stamp and Cut set and colour it with Copic markers.
  • Die cut with the coordinating die.
  • Stamp the "you're my bestea" sentiment on the cup with Azalea ink.

And now for the beautiful hydrangea flowers!

  • Die cut the flowers from the Layered Hydrangea Etched Die from Blush, Tutu, Dahlia and Wildberry ColorWheel Cardstock.
  • Layer up the petals so they appear to be spilling out of the cup. The mix of all the pinks is so pretty!
  • Adhere the tiny flower centers to the flower bases.

And finally adhere the tea cup to the card base with foam adhesive.
