For the Love of Stamping

Hero Arts

Hello friends,

You may have heard that Ellison, the parent company of Sizzix, has made claims of patent infringement against a number of companies in our industry, including Hero Arts.

Just so you know, there is absolutely no reason to change any purchasing patterns with Hero Arts, as Hero Arts does not infringe, believes the lawsuit is without merit, and intends to fight this lawsuit and win for the good of Hero Arts and the industry. Whether we like it or not, the legal process is a method to resolve disputes, and we must let that play out.

There is no reason to allow a chill on creativity or a disruption to business to creep into our beloved industry despite the current situation. In fact, let's work to do just the opposite and rally together to make our community even stronger. Hero Arts and the other companies involved remain the same creative, reliable, top selling brands you trust and love.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask us at info@heroarts.com or leave a comment.

Yours in creativity,

I noticed many designers have stopped using the Sizzix Big Shot or Big Shot Plus or Vagabond in their Youtube.com tutorials. Noticed Many of the designers are now using the Gemini, Platinum, Cricut or Cuttlebug or other brand besides Sizzix/Ellison Die Cutting Machines. Now I know “why”…Ellison/Sizzix ARE shaking in their boots! The Gemini, Platinum, Cuttlebug, Cricut are far easier to use and very portable to tote to classes and/or workshops plus they are “compact”!
Ellison/Sizzix have been losing a LOT of customers within past two to three years if not more which means lose in revenue which “may” be reason for recent lawsuits. I “see” Ellison/Sizzix losing this legal battle agains Hero Arts, Avery Elle, Heartfelt Creations, Stephanie Barnard, etc. Like the Spelbinders vs QuikCuts outcome where Spellbinders took a legal big hit…Ellison/Sizzix will face the same outcome and lose big time in court and industry! Many of us ARE LOYAL Customers to Hero Arts, lawn Fawn, Heartfelt Creations, MFT, PPP, Altenew, Avery Elle, etc vs Ellison/Sizzix. I feel for Tim Hotlz who got double whammy with MISTI and now Ellison/Sizzix.
HANG IN THERE HERO ARTS! HERO ARTS WILL PREVAIL AND SO WILL THE OTHER DEFENDANTS IN THIS “UNMERITED” LAWSUIT! My Question IS “WHY” Now IS Ellison/Sizzix filing these lawsuits?!

First MISTI now Ellison/Sizzix?! Why NOW with Ellison/Sizzix have so many years?! Both companies have one thing in common…Tim Holtz…so how will this impact Tim Holtz and his products? Boy I “see” the “greedy” green eyed monster lurking behinds these lawsuits…
Will google and read up on these “crazy” lawsuits by MISTI and Ellison/Sizzix. I have past issues with Ellison/Sizzix regarding their products and customer service…they make promises to customer and NEVER keep them! Still waiting for them to send promesed replacement handle for my Teal Limited Edition Big Shot and Cutting Plates for Big Shot which was promised over year ago!
Instead of this lawsuit….Ellison/Sizzix NEEDS to DO and internal AUDIT on their Customer Service and Staff who handle the inventory, sales and anything dealing with funds and product inventory. Funds and Inventory in large companies CAN “easily” go “unnoticed”…Trust me…I have “witnessed” many products “disappear” from inventory and books being “cooked”!

Plan to boycott the Ellison line until this matter is resolved. The stamping community has been so supportive of one another historically, there is room for more than one business to succeed!

I will not be buying a single Sizzix Ellison item from this day forward u less they drop this lawsuit. I see this as an attempt to shut down many good small companies. This is the nastiest way to do business.

I would love to see all the you tubers who support these fine companies involved in this lawsuit not use any Sizzix or Ellison products in their you tube videos from this day forward. We must use our money to support these companies and use our money to show Sizzix this is not how to do business in this community.

Do these companies have to stop selling dies during the legal battle in court? Or would they only after the legal battle is finished?
