August My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 + Giveaway

Hello there, for today's countdown, I thought I would share a tag with you. Although I love making cards, I do have a soft spot for making tags. Since the images in the main stamp set are fairly small, I think they work well for tags as well as cards. I started off my tag by creating the night sky/galaxy background. I took a piece of watercolor paper and die cut it using the second to largest of the Nesting Tag Infinity Dies. 

I then blended inks on to it. I first started by adding small dabs of Reactive Ink in Grape Slush, Splash, Lemon Drop and Taffy. I then blended on Navy Mid-Tone Shadow Ink, as well as Intense Black Ink. I also added some of the colours on top of the black to intensify them. Because the inks are a hybrid formula, they do still show up on top of the black ink below. I spritzed the piece with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray, as well as Sea Salt Reactive Ink mixed with a little water and splattered it on with a paintbrush. The tag was then left to dry.

I cut a further two tags from white cardstock and then partially cut these using the Nesting Cloudy Infinity Dies. Once the ink blended tag was dry, I took the sentiment from the main kit stamp set and stamped this on to the tag using Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied White Embossing Powder and heat set. 

I added the clouds to the tag using thin foam tape and tape runner. I took the unicorn image from main kit stamp set and stamped this on to white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. It was coloured with Copic Markers and added to the tag with more foam tape. To finish off, I added glitter and white gel pen dots to the unicorn, and twine to the top of the tag.
