A Warm Cuppa
Hello and welcome! Seeka here and today I'm sharing a cozy card featuring the new Tea Kettle Fancy Die.
I started off by die cutting the tea kettle's body, lid, and handle from a matte silver metallic cardstock. I cut the lid and handle again from Paradise cardstock and then cut off the two teal handles and glued them to the silver pieces. Then I glued the handle and lid to the body of the tea kettle and set the completed tea kettle aside.
Next, I placed the Stripy Stencil over a small piece of Dove White cardstock and used a blending brush to blend Aquatic ink over the stencil. I used the cup die to cut the cup from the stenciled paper and then I blended a bit more Aquatic ink around the edges of the cup.
For the background, I stamped the Flower Market Bold Prints stamp in Peony Core ink onto a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of Dove White cardstock. Then I trimmed 3/8" inch off the length and width of the panel and used foam tape to adhere it to a top-folding card base. I used more foam tape to adhere the tea kettle, the cup, and a small sentiment that I made with the Everyday Sentiment Strips stamp set.
To finish, I used a small die from the die set to cut a wisp of steam from vellum and glued it above the spout.
Thank you so much for visiting!
