 We know it can be frustrating to see a kit you love sell out before you even have a chance to subscribe. We’ve heard you, and we want to make joining easier. That’s why we created Save Your Spot, a new way to get in line for a My Monthly Hero or My Monthly Super Hero subscription.

How Does Save Your Spot Work?

 Think of it like getting in line for something you’re really excited about. Instead of continually checking for an opening and hoping you arrive at just the right moment, Save Your Spot holds your place in line until a subscription becomes available for you.

 To save your spot, choose either My Monthly Hero or My Monthly Super Hero, add a payment method, and pay a $5 Spot Hold. Your card will be securely kept on file while you wait.

When your spot reaches the front of the line and a subscription becomes available, your subscription will automatically begin and the card on file will be charged. Your $5 Spot Hold will be applied toward that purchase. There’s nothing else you need to do—and no chance of missing your opportunity because you didn’t see an email in time.

 Saving your spot reserves your place in line, not a specific month’s kit. Depending on availability and the number of makers ahead of you, it may take a month or two for a subscription spot to become available. We’re continuing to increase quantities each month as we work to meet the incredible demand.

If you change your mind while you’re waiting, you can cancel your saved spot and your $5 Spot Hold will be refunded.

And once your subscription begins, you’re in! Your monthly kit is secured for as long as you remain an active subscriber.

 What does it mean to Save Your Spot?

Saving your spot puts you in line for a My Monthly Hero or My Monthly Super Hero subscription. As subscription spots become available, we’ll work through the line in the order spots were saved. When your spot reaches the front of the line, your subscription will automatically begin using the payment method you provided.

 Does saving my spot guarantee this month’s kit?

No. Saving your spot reserves your place in line, not a specific month’s kit. Depending on availability and how many makers are ahead of you, your subscription may begin with a future month’s kit.

Why is there a $5 Spot Hold?

Your $5 Spot Hold secures your place in line. When your subscription begins, the full $5 will be applied toward your purchase. If you decide to cancel your saved spot before your subscription begins, your $5 will be refunded.

When a spot opens, will I automatically be charged for a subscription?

Yes. This is one of the ways we’re making Save Your Spot simple! When your spot reaches the front of the line and a subscription becomes available, your subscription will automatically begin and the payment method on file will be charged. Your $5 Spot Hold will be applied toward that purchase.

There’s no need to return to the website or confirm your subscription, so you won’t have to worry about missing your opportunity to join.What happens if my card is declined when my spot opens up?

If your card is declined when your spot opens, we’ll email you right away with a link to update your payment method. You’ll have to update the payment before your spot moves to the next maker in line.

Can I update my payment method while I’m waiting in line?

Yes. You can update your payment method anytime while you’re waiting in line. Please reference your waitlist confirmation email for the link to adjust your payment method.

How will I know when my subscription begins?

We’ll send you an email when your subscription begins, along with your order confirmation. Your subscription will already be secured, so there’s nothing additional you need to do.

To make sure you receive our emails, please confirm that you’re opted in to receive emails from Hero Arts. You can check your settings by going to Account → Profile → Marketing Preferences and making sure Email is turned on.

How long will it take for a subscription spot to open?

We aren’t able to give an exact timeframe because it depends on availability and the number of makers ahead of you. Your subscription could begin with the current month’s kit, or it may take a month or two for a spot to become available.

We continue to increase quantities each month as we work to meet the incredible demand, and we’re so thankful for your patience and enthusiasm!

Is there a way to check my place in line?

We don’t display an exact position in line, since availability shifts as we increase quantities each month. You’ll receive a confirmation email when you first save your spot, and another the moment your subscription begins.

Can I change my mind and cancel my saved spot?

Yes. As long as your subscription has not yet begun, you can cancel your saved spot and your $5 Spot Hold will be refunded.

You’ll receive a Save Your Spot email when you first get in line with information about your saved spot and how to access it if you need to cancel.

How long does it take to get my $5 Spot Hold refunded?

Refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.

Can I save a spot for both My Monthly Hero and My Monthly Super Hero?

Yes! You can save a spot for both My Monthly Hero and My Monthly Super Hero. Each subscription has its own line and requires a separate $5 Spot Hold.

If you save a spot for both, keep in mind that each will automatically become an active subscription when its respective spot reaches the front of the line. You can always cancel your spot and get $5 refunded if you get the club you wanted most first!

Can I save a spot if I already have an active subscription?

Yes. If you’re already an active subscriber to one tier and want to save a spot for the other, you can save your spot the same way as any other maker.

Can I save more than one spot for the same subscription?

What happens after I become a subscriber?

Once your spot opens up, your subscription automatically begins and your monthly kit is secured. From there, you’re guaranteed a kit each month for as long as you remain an active subscriber.

Are you making more kits?

Yes! We’ve been increasing quantities each month as My Monthly Hero continues to grow—and you all keep showing up! We couldn’t be more thankful for the incredible response.

We’ll continue working to increase availability each month. Save Your Spot gives you a simple way to get in line in the meantime, without having to continually check the website and hope you catch an opening.

What emails will I receive after I save my spot?

You’ll get a confirmation email as soon as you save your spot, an alert if your card is ever declined when your spot opens, and a final email with your order confirmation the moment your subscription begins.

I saved my spot but didn't get a confirmation email — what should I do?

First check your spam or promotions folder. If you still don’t see it, reach out to our support team and we can confirm your spot was saved and resend the confirmation.

Will I still get Save Your Spot emails if I unsubscribe from marketing emails?

Yes. Your Save Your Spot confirmation, card-decline alerts, and subscription-begins notice are account emails, not marketing emails, so they’ll reach you even if you’ve opted out of marketing. 

Can I change the email address on my saved spot?

Yes, but this can only be done by contacting customer support directly.

What if I miss the email when my spot opens?

It doesn’t matter — your subscription begins automatically 3 hours after you get your email that your spot is open, whether or not you see the email right away. The email is just a heads-up, not something you need to act on.

Both subscriptions ship free in the United States - the lower 48. Shipping charges apply when shipped internationally.

Purchasing a kit enrolls you into a subscription. But you can cancel anytime.

By 11:59 PM MST on the 2nd of the month.

The subscription window will be open from the 1st thru the 27th of each month.

Yes! My Monthly Hero subscribers will receive 10% off purchases. My Monthly Super Hero subscribers will receive 15% off purchase plus a free shipping coupon every month, and an annual gift (must be subscribed for 12 consecutive months). Subscribe or cancel anytime.

Each My Monthly Super Hero comes with a monthly sticker that can be added to the printable passport. Collect 12 consecutive months of stickers and you will receive a free annual gift! All monthly subscriptions are available for the month of their release, with no
guarantee of availability for following months.

The Card Kit products are exclusive to their month of release and will not be released outside of the kit offering.

My Monthly Hero is a card kit, which includes a die set, stamp and cut, paper pack, plus an extra coordinating product. My Monthly Super Hero will include everything in the standard MMH plus 2-3 additional coordinating products designed to enhance the collection and expand creative possibilities.

Subscriptions will be monthly recurring charges; therefore, no additional products will be able to ship with your Card Kit.

Unfortunately, no. Once the kits sell out, they are gone for good.

We are looking at this possibility!

Each Card Kit will typically include a Die Set, Stamp & Cut, and paper pack plus one other product. The additional product will vary from release to release, but may include layering stencils, cling stamps or even new products on the horizon! You can always count on a curated collection of products that work beautifully together and with other products in the Hero Arts line.

All My Monthly Hero subscriptions are FINAL SALE and cannot be changed once the current month has charged.
