You Brighten My Day!
Hello there, Michelle here with a card to share using the US Mailbox Fancy Die that is an add-on to the May 2020 My Monthly Hero Kit. Being in the UK, I wasn't sure what colour US mailboxes usually are, but I thought it would be fun to keep the mailbox white and have all the mail be colourful!
I started off by die cutting the main US Mailbox Fancy Die from Hero Hues Dove White Premium Cardstock. I then took the two envelope dies from the set and cut these from rainbow colours of Premium Cardstock and added some ink blending to one side using Reactive Inks for some added dimension. I used Cherry Cardstock with Fruit Punch Reactive Ink, Papaya Cardstock with Creamsicle Reactive Ink, Canary Cardstock with Lemon Drop Reactive Ink, Kiwi Cardstock with Green Apple Reactive Ink, Arctic Cardstock with Splash Reactive Ink and Lavender Cardstock with Grape Slush Reactive Ink.
I took a top folding card base and masked off the edges using memo tape. I then blended on Pool Party Reactive Ink, fading to white at the top. The memo tape was removed and the mailbox and envelopes adhered on top with foam tape. I tucked some of the envelopes inside the mailbox and secured them with Precision Glue.
I then took the sentiments from the Hello Stamp & Cut stamp set and stamped them on to Hero Hues Pitch Black Premium Cardstock using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. They were cut in to strips and added to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a few clear enamel dots around the sentiment.
Have you seen our Stay Crafty With Hero Challenge this week? I think this card would work perfectly to give to an essential worker, especially a mailman/woman. I know they have brightened up my day many times delivering me parcels!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, take care!

What a nice card! Our US mailboxes are royal blue but the white mailbox with the rainbow assortment of envelopes looks pretty.

Love your card! Those colored envelopes are a great addition! Email notes can never replace what I call “real” mail!
