Wrap It Up with a Pretty Pastel Christmas Card
Seeka SkyPaperScissors
Hello and welcome! Seeka here, and today I’m sharing a fun and easy Christmas card featuring the Gift Boxes Die Set, which perfectly coordinates with the Wrap It Up Letterpress + Foil Plate and Gorgeous Giftwrap Layering Stencils. The color combinations are endless, but for my card today, I chose a fun pastel palette.
I started by positioning the Wrap it Up Letterpress + Foil plate on the chase of my Betterpress System. I used low-tack tape to adhere a 4.25" x 5.5" Betterpress Porcelain Card Panel to the clear plate of the system and then inked up the Wrap It Up plate with Paradise Core Ink. I placed the clear plate over the Betterpress chase and then ran them through my die cutting machine.
Next, I positioned the first layer of the Gorgeous Giftwrap Layering Stencils over the panel, lining up the rectangles with the ribbons I'd just pressed. I used Extra Large Blending Brushes to blend a very light layer of Passion Flower, Cornflower, and Paradise Core Inks over the stencil, blending the colors as I went. Then I positioned the second stencil, with the fun patterns, over the panel and blended on the same three colors, this time with a heavier hand.
Next, I used the Gift Boxes Die Set to die cut the gift boxes out in one pass. I aligned and adhered them using foam tape to a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of Dove White Cardstock.
I used a sentiment from the Here For The Presents Letter Press + Foil Set to create a letterpressed sentiment (also in Paradise Core Ink) and then die cut it. I die cut four pieces of scrap white cardstock and then stacked and glued the layers together, with the letterpressed layer on top, to create dimension. I glued this to the card front and then glued the card front to a card base to finish.
Thank you so much for visiting!
