Wonderful Christmas

It's the most wonderful time of the year. Well, almost. Have you started working on your Holiday cards? To be honest, I have made so many Christmas cards, but not really "our" Christmas cards for this year. But I think, I fell in love with this simple, yet elegant Christmas card I made and I think it may be our Christmas card design for this year. Though, it does involve quite bit of embossing.

I started by stamping the Festive Baubles Bold Prints (this is one of this month's My Monthly Hero add-ons) on Snow layering paper with Versamark ink, using the MISTI tool. Once stamped, I embossed with Ultra Fine embossing powder. I put the paper back in the MISTI and stamped again with Versamark ink, then embossed with Sparkle embossing powder to add little bit sparkle to my background and the "double" embossing gave little bit more dimension to it. I trimmed the paper to 4" x 5 1/4".

I used the die from the Wonderful Stamp & Cut set and cut it three (3) times from Snow layering paper. I applied Versamark ink directly onto one of the die cuts and embossed with Platinum embossing powder. One cooled down, I added another coat of Versamark and embossing powder. I adhered all three die cuts together and set it aside to dry.

I cut one of the Tag Frames Infinity Dies, once from Snow Layering paper and one from Light Grey (Midnight collection) layering paper. I stamped the words "have a" and "Christmas" on the Snow one, and embossed with Platinum Embossing powder. I cut the grey piece in half (lengthwise) and it adhered behind the white one to create the mat. I adhered the die cut on top.

Only thing left is now to assemble the card. I used fun foam to adhere the panel and foam tape for the tag, so it adds some dimension to the card.

And, you can use the same design for cards for other occasions, like wedding, birthdays, thank you cards etc. It will work for pretty much any occasion!

Thanks for stopping by, and hope you are inspired to create something today!
