Watercolored Peace on Earth with Paper Layering Dove

Hello there, this is Ilina "taking over" the blog today. I can't believe October is almost gone and the Holiday season is almost upon us. I love this time of the year.

So, today I have a holiday card for you that can be used for many different occasions. Have you tried the Hero Arts handmade watercolor paper yet? If not, you should. It's amazing! For my card I cut a panel of the handmade watercolor paper that measures 4" x 5 1/4". Then die cut the Paper Layering Dove with a frame from it. Keeping the pieces intact I stamped Peace (using my MISTI tool) from the Peace Stamp & Cut set using Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. I repeated the process (stamp and emboss) few times until I got even coverage of the embossing. Next I separated the dove from the panel and watercolored them separately using Daniel Smith watercolors (and the Hero Arts dot chart).

I set it aside to completely dry. In the meantime I cut only the dove frame from black fun foam. To speed up the drying process you can use a embossing tool. Only be careful when heating over the embossed part of the dove and the background. After it has completely dried, stamp stars from the Mewn & Back set and "on earth" from the Peace Stamp & Cut with Versamark ink and emboss with gold embossing powder. Add a few Champagne sequins

Adhere the dove to the fun foam. Add the panel to Snow note card and adhere the dove.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are inspired to create today!
