Watercolored Home Sweet Home Card
Today I'm using the adorable House Stamp + Cut set to create a housewarming card. The house image in this set is amazing with all of its intricate details!
I stamped the house with Intense Black ink on watercolor paper and heat embossed it using Ultra Fine Clear Embossing Powder. And since I'm not the best at using markers or pencils for coloring detailed images, I decided to use some watercolor markers.
I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color on a craft sheet, spritzed it with water and then smooshed my stamped image in the ink and allowed it to dry.
I used this same technique to create the color on the circle that I die-cut from the Nesting Circle Infinity Dies. Then I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment which is also from the same stamp set.
For the card base I used Decorative Woodgrain Cardstock. This cardstock is great for a card base and comes in 5.5 x 8.25 sheets, which folds to make an A2-sized card.
I felt like the house needed to be grounded a bit, so I trimmed a thin black strip of cardstock and adhered it to the card base. And then I finished off the card with some iridescent sequins.
Now, who wants to come live in this adorable pink house and craft all day with me?!?! :)
I love this card!
Clean, simple and gorgeous! Thanks.
Sweet Card, love the effect of your smooshing technique!
This is great and has inspired me so much. Thank you for this great card.
Nice card! I never thought of smooshing a stamped image. I’ll have to try it.
