Watercolor Floral Background Card with Eiffel Tower

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know that I enjoy watercoloring these days. So I decided to share some watercolor inspiration with you for today’s project: watercoloring the white embossed images.

I started by stamping the floral background image with watermark ink on a watercolor paper. Then I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder.

FYI, I used a retired background stamp, but you could use this same idea with many different background stamps, including Holiday FloralsGarden Tile Pattern, and Background Stars.

After watercoloring my background image with Mijello Mission Gold 36 Watercolors, I die cut the Eiffel tower out of watercolored panel using the Paper Layering Eiffel Tower. Then I mounted my panel on the A2 card base and inlaid the Eiffel tower die cut using foam tape.

I finished off my card by adding the black die cut word from the Love Stamp & Cut on the card front. You can watch a video tutorial on how to make this watercolor card from start to finish HERE.

That’s all for today. I hope my card inspires you to create a card with heat embossing and watercoloring.  Happy crafting!
