Video: Tri-Fold Garden Birds Card

Hi everyone! Ilina here! Today I am sharing video tutorial for a fun tri-fold card using the new Tri-Fold Garden Birds Fancy Dies, along with the Friendly Messages stamp set.

To make the card start by cutting three 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" pieces of Deluxe Smooth WhiteParadise and Palm cardstock. Next, cut two 4 3/4" x 5 1/2" pieces of Kiwi and Pesto cardstock.

Using an ink blending brush, add Green Apple Reactive Ink on the bottom of the Kiwi layer. Die cut the birds with flowers and the grass with flowers dies from Deluxe Smooth White cardstock. No need to position them on the cardstock, as we will color these and cut them out.

You will leave the Paradise piece as is. This one will serve as a background for the scene. From the Palm cardstock, cut towards the top, the foliage die. This will be the first layer, so it will be the highest.

Next, from the Pesto cardstock, die cut the birds edge die. Position it towards the right side. This piece of cardstock is 4 3/4" wide, because we will score it on the left side at 1/2". Once you die cut the top. Position it over the Palm piece and cut the bottom part to get to desired height, so the scene looks stacked.

Do the same with the Kiwi piece, only position the grass and flowers die on the left side and score at 1/2" on the right side.

To see how this card came to be, watch the video below or HERE on YouTube.

Set these aside. Using alcohol based markers or any other coloring medium of your choice, color the birds and the flowers. Cut them out. Adhere them on the Kiwi and Pesto die cut pieces.

Stamp sentiment on Pitch Black cardstock and emboss with White Embossing Powder.

Now we can start assembling the card. Adhere the Pesto piece with the "tab" we created on the left side (on the back) of the Palm cardstock. Do the same with the Kiwi piece, but adhere on the right side.
Adhere the sentiment using foam tape. Add a few Translucent Aquas Enamel Dots.

You can add the whole panel to a Dove White Top Folded Card for extra sturdiness and more space for a message.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you have an amazing day!
