Greetings, fellow crafters! Today, I'm thrilled to share two unique card creations featuring the Snowflake Patterned Cover Plate from Hero Arts. This versatile die offers endless possibilities for winter and holiday card designs.

Card 1: Striped Snowflakes
For my first card, I started by cutting three strips of Hero Hues Premium Cardstock in Nautical, Peacock, and Paradise. I adhered these strips to a double-sided adhesive sheet to create an A2-sized panel and then cut it using the Snowflake Patterned Cover Plate.
Next, I dry embossed the same cover plate onto an A2-sized piece of Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock. Using my finger, I applied a light coating of Icelandic Hero Wax to select snowflakes, creating a beautiful shiny effect.
Once dry, I adhered the striped cardstock panel over the embossed design, allowing the white snowflakes to show through. To complete the card, I stamped and die-cut a sentiment from the Swirly Christmas Tree Bundle in Intens-ified Black Ink and adhered it to a rectangle of Classic Vellum Layering Paper. Vellum is an easy way to help your sentiment stand out against an otherwise busy background!
Card 2: Stencil and Paper Snowflakes
For my second card, I used the first layer of the Color Layering Snowflake Stencils and applied Icelandic Hero Wax through the stencil onto an A2-sized piece of Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock. I then used the negative snowflake pieces left over from the first card, popping them up over the stenciled snowflakes and trimming any excess.
To finish, I stamped and die-cut a sentiment from the Joyful Christmas Messages Bundle in Intens-ified Black Ink and adhered it to the card using foam squares.
The Snowflake Patterned Cover Plate is a must-have for winter and holiday card-making. Its intricate design and versatility offer endless creative possibilities. Try combining it with other techniques, like wax-resist and layering, to create unique and eye-catching designs.
Happy crafting!
