Video: May My Monthly Hero Kit and Watercoloring with Decobrush Markers
Hello, friends! It’s Channin here with a new card and video featuring the May My Monthly Hero Kit! In today’s video I demonstrate how to watercolor with the three Karin DécoBrush Metallic Markers included the May kit to create a happy pastel rainbow card with matching envelope. Please check out the video below to see the whole process.
(If you are having trouble viewing this video, please try watching it HERE on YouTube.)
First, I trimmed down a sheet of Bristol paper to create a 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” panel. I then stamped and gold heat embossed a sentiment from the kit’s stamp set in the center of the panel.
Next, I stamped and also gold heat embossed several images from the set around the sentiment. I repeated stamping these images in different spot around the sentiment till the panel was covered with images. Next, I stamped and gold heat embossed an image and sentiment onto an envelope.
With my panel and envelop estamped I then began watercoloring with the Decobrush markers. I used a laminated sheet as a palette and scribbled a tiny amount of the paint onto the sheet and then added water to lighten the color and to make the paint or fluid. I also created my own orange and green by mixing the paints together.
Once I had finished watercoloring the images I then finished the card by adhering the panel onto an A2 top-folding card base made from Mustard cardstock.
I hope you enjoyed my card and video! Thank you so much for stopping by!!
