Video: Making Your Die Cuts Pop

Hi crafty friends! It's Jeannie and today, I'm excited to share a new video with you focusing on the Birds of Paradise Fancy Dies from the latest release. This flower is fun and colorful and it's perfect for a pretty card.

(If you are having trouble viewing this video, please watch HERE on YouTube.)

To create this card, I used first focused on stamping out a ombre background using the Leafy Background cling stamp on Deluxe Smooth White cardstock. I pulled out the colors: Key Lime Fizz, Green Apple, and Blue Raspberry to ink up the background at once. I used a brayer from my crafty stash to blend the colors together.  It's so pretty to use more than one color and the three colors are very subtle but work well together. I used one of the Nesting Circle Infinity Dies to cut out a circle on the right hand side of my background panel.

Next, I die cut the Birds of Paradise Fancy Dies out of Deluxe Smooth White cardstock and then colored them up using Copic markers. I definitely googled images of the flower to see the variety of colors. I needed a solid color for the florals to really pop so I pulled out a panel of Pitch Black cardstock and matted the Leafy Background cling stamp right on top.

For the sentiment, I pulled one from the Jungle Serenity stamp set. I stamped "Wishing You Serenity" using the Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink on Pitch Black cardstock and then die cut it out with the coordiating die.

I really love how this card came together and the Pitch Black cardstock with the  Leafy Background cling stamp allowed the Birds of Paradise Fancy Dies to really stand out!

Thank you for joining me here today and I hope you enjoyed this card and the accompanying video.
