Video: Fixing Heat Embossing Mistakes
Heat embossing can be tricky at times and making one wrong "move" can ruin your entire project. I'd like to share 2 simple ways I like to use to fix heat embossing mistakes (and the actual mistakes I made when making a card) in this blog post and video.
I often struggle with getting a perfect heat embossed image. I like to do heat embossing over ink blended backgrounds, but never have the patience to wait for the paper to be completely dry, and over dark papers for maximum impact, where one tiny improper heat embossed dot can ruin everything.
Watch my video below to learn how I deal with fixing heat embossing mistakes in my work:

I started working on this card by creating an ink blended background. I've been enjoying working with colors lately - mixing and layering them for beautiful results. I used [hero_product_link sku="AF331" text="Dandelion"], [hero_product_link sku="AF263" text="Ultra Pink"], [hero_product_link sku="AF242" text="Soft Cantaloupe"] and [hero_product_link sku="AF335" text="Crimson"] ink colors for my ink blended background. Having yellow and pink mix together I was able to get beautiful coral and orange colors too.
I heat embossed a Just For You sentiment in [hero_product_link sku="PW110" text="white embossing powder"] and also embossed several flowers and leaves from the [hero_product_link sku="CL929" text="Just For You sey by Lia"] going around the sentiment. Colorful background really made the white embossing pop here. Part of my main sentiment was also stamped in [hero_product_link sku="AF101" text="Black ink"] onto a small die cut circle and was foam mounted over a background for a two-color look.
To anchor the black on this card I also added an additional element - another sentiment heat embossed on black cardstock. Sentiment reads You Brighten My Day and its from the [hero_product_link sku="DC151" text="Stamp & Cut Hello set"]. I thought it was perfect for this colorful card.
I also added a few clear drops and gold sequins and adhered two strips of gold glitter tape to finish this project.
