Video: Die Cut Hexagon Background
Hi everyone! Ilina here. Today I am sharing how to make super fun and colorful backgrounds using the new Hexagon Infinity Dies. Once you have the background created you can just add a simple sentiment and your card is done.
All you need is the Hexagon Infinity Dies, cardstock in colors of your choice, sentiment stamps (I used a sentiment from the Bee and Flowers Wreath set), some printer paper and adhesive. After making the card I had leftover pieces and used those to make a second card.
Watch the video below to see my creative process or click HERE to watch on YouTube.
To make the background start by die cutting the hexagon frames. I taped all dies together, which resulted in being able to cut out hexagon frames instead of "solid" hexagons. I picked 10 colors of cardstock and for the background I used the first 10 hexagons, but you can change the number of colors or hexagons you use. The colors I picked were: Pitch Black, Adriatic, Arctic, Paradise, Canary, Mustard, Papaya, Pebble, Kiwi and Meadow.
Once you die cut them all, add double sided adhesive to a piece of printer paper (I used a 6" x 6" piece of adhesive) and start arranging the hexagons. Once you have created the background, cut it to 4" x 5 1/4", stamp a sentiment and adhere to a Dove White top folded card.
With the leftovers I decided to make a second card where I adhered the trimmed hexagons on the left side of a Dove White cardstock panel measuring 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped a sentiment using Intens-ified Black ink.
Thank you for stopping by and hope you have an amazing day!

Interesting card and loved the colors. The simple sentiment strip and stamped sentiment were perfect with the backgrounds. Thanks for showing us your tips and techniques.
Love your use of those dies! Fantastic cards! When I win a HA gift card or win the lottery, (ha), those dies will be a purchase!
