Using Scraps for Quick Holiday Thanks
If you are anything like me you have a stack of panels set aside that maybe didn't work for another card or from technique trials. I have a whole drawer full. They are way to pretty to toss and certainly I'll be able to use them for something, right? Are you with me?
Today, I am sharing a great a way to use those panels, or even scraps, to make quick Holiday Thanks cards. Each year I need a bundle of them for the post carriers, to the house/yard keeper, to gate attendants for our neighborhood. These cards are perfect for employees and party hostesses that you'd like to give a gift card - but want to show a bit more thoughtfulness with.
The Fir Tree Infinity dies are perfect for this project! I die cut several panels that I had played on. Some were watercolor in blues and purples, others like the one featured here are green hued ink sprays that I had dribbled onto Bristol paper. Patterned paper would even be fun!
The sentiment was created with the Thanks Stamp & Cut set. I die cut "Thanks" out of several scraps of shimmer and metallic gold paper. Then I laid out all of the awesome small sentiments from the set over a 6x6 black Midnight Layering Paper and stamped and white heat embossed them them all as one. Super quick!
After trimming them apart I attached each to a strip of Tribal Stripes Bold Prints inked in black on white paper. Finally, adhere all elements to card with a few Champagne Sequins thrown in for sparkle.
Letting those who do for you know they are appreciated is so important. We at Hero Arts appreciate you! Next time you create with Hero Arts, tag us, we'd love to know what you are up to!
