Tropical Flowers with Jungle Frame Border

Caly Person

Hi, Friends! It's Caly with you today and I'm sharing a card using the new Tropical Flowers set! I've paired it with the new Jungle Frame Fancy Die to soften the bright background that was created using Hero Hues Reactive Inks.

To begin my card, I worked on the ink-blended background. On white cardstock, I ink-blended from the bottom using Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, then Lemon Drop Reactive Inks.

After ink-blending, I sprayed the panel with a mist of water to add texture, then added some bolder splatters of white, watered-down, acrylic paint. To soften the colors, I decided to use vellum to cut the Jungle Frame Fancy Die. I used liquid glue to adhere just the borders around the ink-blended panel.  It does show through a little bit, but not so much that it's displeasing.

The focus of the card is the Tropical Flowers - so I stamped the images with Intense Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers (YG06, G03, G17, G21, G85, Y06, Y38, RV25, and R29). I added some white gel highlights to my images before adhering them to my card panel using foam adhesive for some added dimension.  The sentiment is stamped on white paper, and then matted with black cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed this!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a blessed day!
